Tool Point at a distance along line - Wrong formula

Issue #844 closed
Ronan Le Tiec created an issue

When I use the Tool "point at distance along line", I enter for instance the value "2".

If I click on apply, everything is fine.

If I click on OK without clicking on apply first, I get the dialog "Broken Formula".

From then

  • Clicking on "Undo" show another message and then I can go on working.
  • Clicking on "Fix Formular" opens the formula Dialog. If I enter "2" again, It works, but the point added in my case has the same label as the origin point and If i try using a tool on the origin point, I get the Warning "can't find the object by id 1"
  • Clicking on "Cancel" create a dialog Critial error, and the program shuts down.

I attach a simple file with only two points A and A1, on which I tested the tool. I can always reproduce it, I use the latest code.

Don't worry, take your time! I report it so that you know it's there but I don't expect from you any time scheduling.

I cannot reproduce. Which locale do you use? Did you look why the math parser doesn't like your formula?

I just tested it with the Version 0.6.0.0 that I installed on my Ubuntu 18.04 from the Ubuntu PPA. It's working well, I don't have the problem that I described anymore. Looks like it's solved :-)
